Food sustains;
Food nourishes;
Food heals.
For me, cooking goes beyond just preparing food. It's about why we cook. When ingredients receive the love and attention they deserve, they reciprocate that care when they reach our bodies, nourishing us in a deeper way.
How it began…
It was a regular day at home, I had just made marmalade - my signature orange marmalade from home-grown oranges. My children decided t to give this marmalade an identity. Instantly, they called a friend who decided she would draw up a logo which would have an element of this marmalade that everyone relished.
She made a beautiful logo with a branch lending an orange to the letter “i”. I had never thought that a logo would hold so much weight. It gave me an identity. The orange circle reminded me of ‘Bindu’ - which in the Indian context is often considered a symbol for seed, and the point from which all creation begins.
Cooking Classes
For those of you new to India, and for those already here, these classes are a wonderful introduction and re-introduction to Indian cuisine, exploring different techniques and dishes from various regions. We will cook with seasonal produce, giving you the opportunity to discover unique Indian vegetables. You'll also meet people from diverse backgrounds, creating a fun and interactive experience. The goal is to learn, connect, and enjoy yourself!
Supper Club
Bringing together friends from around the globe at my dining table has created unforgettable memories. Inspired by a conversation with a friend, I decided to unlock the treasures of my kitchen to offer the warmth of home-cooked dining to others. My goal was not only to share authentic Indian meals but to create a space where strangers could connect over food, culture, and conversation.
The supper club became a way for me to extend my passion for cooking into something more — a communal experience that brings people closer, one dish at a time.
