North Indian cuisine is woven with influences from centuries of history, reflecting the region’s rich cultural diversity. Confluence of cultures—particularly Persian—have shaped the food we know today. Persian cooking has left a lasting imprint on the use of spices, the way meats are marinated and prepared, and the techniques used for vegetables.

One such method you will master is the art of bagaar (tempering), a technique that infuses smoky, deep flavors into your dishes, creating a barbecue-like taste without ever lighting a grill! This traditional method of flavoring transforms even the simplest ingredients into something extraordinary.

In this class, you’ll get to learn to cook some of the iconic North Indian dishes, each with its own history and depth of flavor:

  • Meat Do Piaza

  • Biryani

  • Chicken Curry

  • Stuffed Bhindi (Okra)

DETAILS

STRUCTURE: The classes start with an introduction of the concept in focus, followed by meal preparations and at last a delicious meal for everyone to relish. The menus for each class will focus on teaching how to cook an entire meal that comprises of atleast 5 - 6 easy to make dishes.

RESOURCES: All that the participants need to carry along is their apron. All ingredients and traditional tools used to prepare the dishes will be provided.

TIME: Cooking lessons can be fixed during any days of the week subject to availability and prior notice. The duration of the class will be approx. 3 hours which will include the cooking period as well as a meal to enjoy that ends the class on a sumptuous note. 

FEES & PAYMENT: Rs. 3,500 per person. The payment can be made via bank transfer or in cash at the time of the class. The details for the bank transfer will be shared once confirmation for a class is received.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellation is accepted up to 3 days prior to the date of the cooking class. If you need to reschedule the class, this will be based on my availability.

Please note that your reservation will only be confirmed once payment has been received. In the event of a cancellation within 3 days of the supper club or a no-show, a refund will not be possible
